Thwarted Thursdays.
June 12, 2008
I don’t have classes every Thursdays and it’s not a good thing. You may think it’s a good thing, but really, it’s not. Because I have Saturday classes. So I have a very odd schedule this term and I don’t like it that much. And I don’t do much productive stuff on Thursdays, except maybe sleep for long hours so that’s why I call it Thwarted Thursdays.
I had a trip to the bookstore earlier and man, I hated it. This is very unusual of me, because bookstores fascinate me. I love books, craft supplies and anything inside bookstores. But today wasn’t exactly the perfect day to visit one, since it’s the second day of school for normal people. Teehee. So the bookstore was crowded and the lines to the check out counters were very long.
I wasn’t supposed to go to the one in Taft, but I had to. Since I couldn’t get a cab so I could go to Cash N Carry. The bookstore there is bigger and besides, I was hungry. I wanted to grab my usual first meal of the day that I usually get in the wee hours of noon (actually, afternoon).
So I got myself a big Mead subject notebook in blue, a Veco Corona notepad in pink, a two-column desk organizer, and a Scotch magic tape (which I thought was Post-it flags so I bought it. Ugh!). The line was long, I waited for around six minutes.
Right now I’m eating canned half-apricots again. I thought they would taste like peaches because they kind of look the same to me. They taste okay but I don’t like the texture. I’m studying for my INSOCIO (Introduction to Society) class’s unit test for tomorrow morning. Take note: It’s my first subject and it starts at 7 am. My breakfast would be a unit test about Sociology. Wow.
I wish I could do something more productive on Thursdays so I could change Thwarted Thursdays to Trouble-free Thursdays or something like that.
