Weekend in Bacolod.
March 3, 2008
So last Friday, me and my mom flew to Bacolod after school. Our flight was 3:40 pm and school ended at around 1. We had lunch first then checked in. While I was in the terminal, Kuya Jam suddenly approached me. My mom said she got surprised by his way of greeting. He stroked my chin. Haha I told her that everybody does that. He was on his way to Boracay, a famous beach in the Philippines. His flight was delayed and he asked me to accompany him while he smokes.
We arrived in the New Bacolod-Silay Airport at around 6-ish. Off we went to Kalubihan to eat some chicken inasal. Then we went bowling. It was really fun. We played for two hours. I was even surprised to find out that it’s only 50 bucks per game, while in Manila, it’ll cost twice or thrice. It’s really cheap. Plus, the service, lanes, and lights are really nice so it’s worth it.
We slept over at this pension house in Silay. It’s not very far away from the city. On our last day of stay there, which was yesterday, Sunday, we went around town and checked out this somewhat gothic house. Tita Sandra found it creepy.
It has very detailed designs all over the walls. Outside, there are gargoyles. Then a small gate which reveals japanese soldier statues, a huge headless priest, an Indian bed, two cauldrons, and more. It’s really nice.

what a coincidence! I took pictures of the same house too last year!

I agree with your aunt, it is kinda freaky! I envy you! You were actually brave to go inside and take a look at the interior!
I got a question: Do you and your aunt know who owns the house and if it is a museum or art gallery? Please tell us! There’s lots of rumors flying about that that house is owned by satanists..
my email is swamp_ooze@yahoo.com
Haha if you ask me, I don’t find the house satanic. Creepy and fascinating – yes. Demonic? No.
I had the chance to enter the house and walked around its courtyard. It’s really a nice place. All the statues and furniture in the courtyard and dining hall is intricate and unique. I find it really nice. There’s even a statue of a beheaded priest, and by the falls is the head of the priest.
The caretaker told me that the owner of the house lives in England (I think). Though I’m not sure if the owner’s a foreigner. Everything inside is designed and really rare. Hopefully I would be granted a chance to enter the house on my next visit.
And I don’t think the mansion is owned by satanists. Maybe just some gothic-loving people like myself. Haha
do you have any more pictures especially of the interior?
And do you know the name of the owner? A friend of mine wants to visit the house and he’s just as curious to know who own it.
